I need some legal help?
About a year ago a kid came to my door selling news papers for the long beach telegram press. He told me that if i bought the the paper i would be helping him pay for school. So i say why not and gave him the 10 or 20 dollars. I got the paper for about two or three months and then canceled my subscription right away. After that i started receiving the phone calls. I the beginning i tried to be polite in dealing them, but they never seem to get the message. I found their website and called a number so i called to talk to someone about taking me out of their Rolodex or whatever. I guy i talked to seemed really nice and helpful, he ask for my phone number typed up some stuff on his computer and told me everything was taken care. Then the (Unknown Callers) calls started. Tonight was the last straw i answered the phone and and said hello the said "hello" and i told him to listen i said as plainly possible I Do Not Want The paper Stop calling me. He started to pretend that he couldn’t hear me i then yelled it. He said the i was breaking up and he couldn’t hear so he hung up and say he’ll try again later.
If anyone can help i want to know any and all legal matters i can take in order for me to not go to their office and start kicking ass. Any help would be appreciated.
go to the police and file harassment. you will have to bring your phone records most likely. i know someone that had to do that before.

File your number with the Do Not Call site. https://www.donotcall.gov/
After thirty-one days, telemarketers (and these are telemarketers) may not contact you. You can report them to the Do Not Call site if they continue to do so. When they call again, simply tell them that you have filed the number with Do Not Call, and if they continue to contact you, you will report them to the Federal Trade Commission.
Here’s an article about that. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer /alerts/alt136.shtm
You can register cell phones with Do Not Call, too.
I will say it works. We used to get hounded all the time by the Fort Worth Star Telegram, and once we got on the list and I told them we were on it, nada. What a relief.
